Yumiko Yumiba was born in 1996 in Japan.
Currently, she studied at Tokyo University of the Arts under professor Takashi Shimizu and professor Sungsic Yang. And from this October, she is studying at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under professor Elisabeth Kufferath.
She won many 1st Prizes in domestic competitions and EUROASIA SPAIN COMPETITION in 2016, and 2nd prizes in Internationalen Beethoven-Wettbewerb fur violine in 2013 and Varna International Violin Competition in 2015.
In 2015, she participated in Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg
as a scholarship student.
She has played at Mariahilfer church in Orpheus Music Festival in Austria, Kaiserpfalz in Internationales Musikfest Goslar-Harz in Germany, and many concerts in Japan.
In 2018, she got a top prize at her university in Tokyo, and played Lalo symphonie espagnole op.21 with Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by KenTakaseki. And she got a special prize for a university scholarship.
Additionally, she has been playing in a Quartet. She also studied baroque violin.
